Stop Coddling the Super-Rich.
He’s been saying this for a while but, as a reminder, this is why we love Warren Buffett.

One blogger's day as a substitute teacher for a private christian school
Not allowed to use a computer? No education beyond the bible? I’m all for people practicing whatever religion they want as long as they aren’t hurting anyone with an opposing viewpoint; but I’m afraid that’s exactly what this is doing. This system is setting these kids to fail at life.
- Assembly/chapel: singing songs of praise followed by the principal making a speech about how public schools are evil because they teach evolution. he went on to explain why evolution is not only wrong based on historical evidence (biblical evidence) but can be proven wrong by “science”. he never provided any example of this “science” but everyone agreed without question. side-note: there was only one non-white child in the entire school…he was sitting alone.
- 1st class-literature: kids were ok. lots of questions about my beard. i asked what everyone’s favorite book was. they all said the bible. then i asked what was their favorite book besides the bible…none of them have read any book besides the bible. they were seniors.
- 2nd class-freshmen computer class: 4 out of 12 kids had never been allowed to use a computer. i asked why and they all said something along the lines of, “my parents said it’s too much of a temptation to sin.” which to me means, “my parents know that if i do any research into my religion i might see that it’s all bullshit…also, there’s boobs.”
- 3rd class-business math: same group as the first class but the one black kid in the whole school was there also. he was sitting away from the rest of the kids so i sat down net to him and asked how he liked this school. his exact words, “i fucking hate this goddamn school.” we bumped fists.
we ended early since it’s the first day and now i’m on my 3rd beer.

GOP lawmaker who voted for a ban on gay marriage caught trying to solicit a gay man on Craigslist
I am both shocked and surprised*
The emails, sent from Rep. Phillip Hinkle’s publicly listed personal address, ask the young man for “a couple hours of your time tonight” and offer him cash up front, with a tip of up to $50 or $60 “for a really good time.”

* I am neither shocked, nor surprised. How does the expression go? Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Oh, and this.
