Outside of selling lots of devices, we know that the success of a platform is based on the creator’s ability to entice developers to write outstanding applications for it (The Playstation 3 was a superior piece of hardware to the Xbox 360, but look where the developers went).
RIM has to play catch up to Apple and Google, so you’d think that they’d make it easy to develop for.
