Apple to Stream Free McCartney Concert to Apple TV

Of course this isn’t a test for a larger strategy. Nope. Uh-uh.

iTunes Match is Live

Let’s hope it isn’t a ticket to iCloud Cookoo Land.

The Towson Hack: The mystery of vanishing iTunes credit - Macworld

Use iTunes. Watch your statements carefully.

There is a strange and as-yet unresolved problem with some customers’ iTunes Store credit disappearing in a variety of ways. It’s been going on for ten months now. Great reporting by Lex Friedman.

A Match made in heaven?

Due to our friend Irene, I’m still not back in NYC, so this isn’t going to be a post on Match Vs. Spotify Vs. Rdio; that’ll be coming soon.

iTunes Match, the ‘if you have it in your library and we have it in ours you can play it back on any Apple device’ service, won’t be offering streaming even though they have purchased the rites to do it. Click the link for a good explanation on why (mobile infrastructure not up to scratch). My feeling is that Apple are waiting for A) Spotify Rdio to become a threat, B) 4G before they flip the switch.

Still a shame; the idea of my music everywhere (reliably), and at the sound quality I want is still unmet. A Match made in heaven? Not yet.

More soon.

Apple reaches 15 Billion App downloads; 1 Billion of those downloaded within the last month*. As a reminder, it’s taken almost ten years for Apple to shift 15 Billion songs, but less than three to hit the same number of apps.
Hey, HTML5, how are you doing?
*It was 14 Billion at WWDC.
